what exactly is allowed in phase 2- MOCO?

Anonymous
I thought scrimmages were allowed in phase 2- did they change that in the last couple of weeks or is scrimmaging still allowed?

I probably shouldn't even ask about 5 v 5.

Does anyone know?

We are with a club- younger than u11

Thank you.

They are looking to change that this morning at 11 a.m. so we won't be allowed to scrimmage even within the team.

Moco has put soccer in the high risk category, even though the state lists it as medium risk. So no games, scrimmages etc. however field hockey and lacrosse are still medium risk and can play games. Not sure why moco felt the need to move soccer into a the high risk, as surrounding counties are permitting play.

Does anyone know if moco teams are permitted to play games in a surrounding county?

But is their liability insurance still covered if they play in another state?

Our club hasn't done any scrimmaging at all, which I am glad about. So I guess this won't change us.

What about training? Any changes there? It is a little confusing.

no contact training. Which means even if you are now scrimmaging against your own team, you can't anymore.

Can someone please link to the list of levels for contact sports? I'm having trouble finding it.

I wish that the County would show proof that kids playing soccer is transmitting COVID more so than other activities.

They changed it mid month. They even had ads showing soccer was safe to play. Moco Parks even put something out yesterday. The communication has been terrible

And please tell me how lacrosse is not contact wearing helmets and pads, but soccer and flag football is a higher risk sport.

Are you sure about that? I heard MoCo shut down the 5v5 games at the Soccerplex.
