Infertility Support and Discussion

Does anyone know if CFA uses vitrification? I'm about to embark on IVF and for me the only option is FET. I've heard vitrification increases success rates with frozen embryos.
Thanks! |

Not sure if CFA uses vitrification but my clinic did and FET worked for me:

PP we did a natural cycle FET using vitrified embryos and I'm in the dreaded 2ww.
Shady Grove uses Vitrification and their FET success rates are nearly identical to the fresh cycle success rates.
i doubt CFA uses vitirification. I had FET with them last year. My frozen embryos were all really good quality and when they thawed the embryos, we lost 2 out of 4 in the process. With vitirification, it is rare to lose an embryo in the thaw process. Just ask your nurse if they use vitirification.
Dominion Fertility uses vitrification and they also do natural cycle FET which is far easier than a medicated one. I had the worst side effects with Lupron so I was very happy to avoid it with our last round of FET. All of my embryos survived thawing and we transferred one this last round because I already have a DD from previous FET. I was not successful with stimulated cycle because I think my lining did not respond like it did with the NCFET, and my ovaries were so enlarged it caused severe cramps.
I thought they did use vitrification. We had five embryos frozen there. We have thawed three and all three thawed perfectly. You should be able to call the practice and find out for sure.
Thanks, everyone! I did have a conversation with one of the IVF nurses today and it sounds like they do vitrification. We have another consult with the RE on Friday, so trying to think of all my questions now!
