nanny wearing mask in home

Does your nanny wear a mask in your home?

No. Our nanny lives alone and is vigilant about social distancing/mask wearing. We formed a clean loop with her where she sees no one aside from us and we see no one aside from her. She also lives close enough to walk to our house.

No way. She’s going to eat and drink, so what’s the point?

Only if everyone else in family is wearing a mask.

No

Of course not

I originally had wanted us both to wear masks, both because my inlaws were visiting from a high covid state to protect her, and to protect me b/c she had a second job for a time sitting another family. It was just not feasible and we both gave up.

This.

A nanny eats and drinks in your home, so it’s just not practical.

Nanny here- If you and your kids wear masks, I am happy to wear a mask. If you just want me to wear a mask to protect YOU, but you won’t wear one to protect me? You can go kick rocks. Nannies are crazy in demand right now and it’s super easy to find a new family. Especially for those of us who are educated.
