Masks that fit tweens

We have one that fits her well. It’s a fluke — some handmade thing that was a gift.

Kid masks that fit my 8 year old are too small. Masks that fit me are too big.

Any recommendations?

Please don’t say “go to Etsy” I’m looking for concrete suggestions here. TIA.

I bought kid-size surgical masks and they fit me, my 15 year old, and my 10 year old. We have small jaws.

I suppose you're talking about a more rigid mask, where the fit is trickier? Perhaps you should go with a surgical one or try another brand.

I think they have improved sizing descriptions. I thought my 13 y.o. who is 5'5" and 125 lbs would fit in a M whne i ordered, and she did not!

I put a stitch in the elastic of one that was too big for DC, and it was perfect.

Was it too small? It looks like that size should fit my kid (around 90lbs, 5”3).

Tweens also seem to like gaiters, but keep in mind that the fabric on gaiters tends to be thinner.

I don't know if you're anti-Etsy or just want a specific recommendation. This is the only mask that fits my 11yo well. I only get masks with filter pockets.

We tried the Old Navy masks for kids and adults, Etsy and a bunch of others. In every case, they were either too tight or too loose. So then we bought looser ones and stitch them to fit. My teen actually started sewing them herself and is donating to charity and giving them away. She has gotten very good at it and might start selling them.

There’s a hack to twist the elastic before looping over your ear (so the elastic ends up forming an S shape when you’re wearing it)
