Printer

The DL starts in early September at FCPS. Do you think that having a printer is necessary for completing school work, etc. and/or for efficiency? Our DC is rising 3rd grader (AAP).

Definitely helpful to have one. Just in case.

My 4th Grade AAP child last spring completed everything electronically. All work was completed and turned to teacher in google classroom with slides and hyperdocs. My 2nd grade student needed everything printed, then pictures taken of work, then emailed back to teacher. It was really obnoxious. I hope 3rd grade completes most work electronically this year.

My 2nd grader at a center (which is our base) did everything on Google Slides. It would've been a little easier if she could type proficiently...

Get the Cam Scanner app for your phone. You can easily scan your kid's homework and email it to the teacher.

I'm OP. Thanks for inputs! For a scanner, I use Office Lens (free apps). As for printing, I usually go to Staples to do print job, but I will consider buying a printer at this time...
