I don't know, but I've always done this.

I also spot a little after running longer distances.

It has happened to me (rarely) and it wasn't a sign of anything other than ovulation. Good luck to you!

I bled after sex and thought for sure it was early period, but turns out I was pregnant so must have been ovulation related.
