DH and I are watching our waistlines but still love a good dessert. Can you recommend some good recipes? We do not use any artificial sugar however. I love recipes with yogurt.

Angel food cake, you can find any recipe on line. Fat free because it is made primarily with egg whites. You can serve it with yogurt/strawberries for a topping.

Feb's Southern Living had a few lower cal dessert recipes. You may be able to find them online.

vanilla bean poached pears with a small dollop of creme fraiche or marscapone.

--Angel food cake topped with sweetened vanilla Greek yogurt and fresh berries
--homemade meringues, can be made chocolate using cocoa powder (storebought meringues can be sickeningly sweet). the recipes can look daunting but you can make 2 dozen homemade meringues in about 20 mins, plus 90 min baking time

...but as someone who lost 30 lbs of baby weight (and kept it off for 6 years), I am a big fan of getting desserts you truly love, and enjoying those in small portions. For me, a single square of amazing chocolate hits the spot in a way a plate of fat free chocolate cookies just can't!

Strawberries and cool whip fat free whip cream (which is probably much worse for you than real cream, but it is fat free)

Baked apples

Baked apple crisp (cut up apples, cinnamon, a bit of sugar, w/oats on top)

I haven't tried this yet but will this weekend. It's a banana berry smoothie:

raspberries
blueberries
bananas
fat free greek yogurt (plain or vanilla)
blend and drink. Sounds really good and pretty healthy, all natural sugars

greek yogurt (7 ounces)
unsweetened cocoa (4 teaspoons)
maple syrup (1 tablespoon)

Leave it overnight. It toasts like chocolate pudding.

I love fruit crisps. Just about any fruit in season works -- apples, pears, plums, berries, peaches. You can top with a dollop of lightly sweetened yogurt.

I also like caramelized fruit -- pineapple, bananas, or peaches covered in a bit of brown sugar and broiled.

A pavlova (with the whipped cream subbed with a dollop of sweetened yogurt) would be good too.

Fresh berries (strawberries and blueberries work well) lightly coated in a dessert liquor (for a little kick!) topped with whip cream atop of a few lady fingers/angel food cake.
