We are just dying for some pool time. We live in a condo with no outdoor space and love being outside for walks and parks but this heat! I know dc pools are closed and honestly- I’m not sure I’d feel totally safe at a pool unless it wasn’t crowded. Has anyone looked into hotel pools in nearby MD or VA? I feel like hotels are probably kind of empty so maybe it’s safe? |
I don't understand how you can "feel like" hotel pools are kind of empty. Explain? Either they are or they aren't. There are no feelings involved.
A lot of hotel pools are small and indoors as well. Look into some of the far flung resorts if you're willing to spend money on a hotel. The ski resorts are pretty deserted. Maybe places like The Woods in West Virginia. |
MoCo public pools are restricting use, but you can sign up and get a slot, even as a DC resident. It's not too crowded at all. |
I “feel” like your response is unhelpful. My assumption is no one is really touring it up in dc this summer therefore a nice Saturday stay nearby could be safe and enjoyable. Not looking for a vacation- just a pool. I didn’t know we could have access to MOCO - thanks for that! |
Be sure to call the hotel directly. I stayed in one recently and the pool was closed, blocked off by signs. This wasn't mentioned on the website at all. |
find a nice pool in the suburbs on swimply and treat yourselves |
How about posting on next door? You may be able to find someone with their own pool who is willing to rent it to your family for an hour for a reasonable rate? |
