No. Some of us are people who suffered through the experience of having our churches infected with the garbage thinking, talking, and theology that emanated from people like Jen. We come here because it helps to be reminded we're not alone in our experience.

When you get up close and personal with these sorts of folks it makes an impression on you and it’s not a pleasant one. It’s good to hear the accounts of others.

+1. Ironically, an anonymous forum is where we found the truth about what was going on with Jen.

Tonight is the sh**show! I hope someone posts quotes here because I’m not watching it. Lol.

In her video today she says the conversation is about how to end body shame. I have an idea! Don’t post pictures of your surgically enhanced body and lie to us about how you got it.

She must be peeing in her pants, she was mentioned in the Yahoo article about the Oprah brouhaha. Shes def not aware enough to see the negativity but instead is probably focused on the fact she made the article ablut Queen Oprah. 🤦🏽‍♀️

Does the Yahoo article mention Jen's Ï Like To Sit Next To "Substantial" People On Airplanes Because They Are Like Human Pillows post from awhile back??

Was this a response to the Oprah special? Details please for those who weren't able to watch!

I am sure she’ll share her experience in exhaustive detail very soon.

Good news guys.

Jen says that woman are now ready to have that much needed conversation around diet Shane and body culture! Finally, right?!l

Three things unite Oprah, Weight Watchers, and Jen Hatmaker and it’s not woman’s wellness and health. It’s $.

I didn't feel any new ground was broken. Jen talks a great talk, very confident, offered no new insights, just word-salad galvanizing about making a better world. All very opaque, and faux-earnest.

Most troubling and quite sad was the "narrative" that showing a photo of her "slimmer" self on her Mexican vacation (whenever that was) somehow upset "her people". No mention of cosmetic surgery. Just a sort of shocked response on her part. To be clear, anyone is free to do what she wants--no judgement on the surgery. But concern over the inauthenticity. Last night, if I didn't know her backstory, I would simply think that she was a victim of confusion from her community and some sort of weird jealousy. It actually made no sense.

Her ability to speak publicly with expertise, and yet say nothing new or accurate, was incredible.

I don’t think she’s very good on camera, actually. I was in the business and worked with on camera talent. If you notice pros like Oprah they never self-sooth when they’re on. Jen constantly touches her hair and primps. It’s coachable for sure but takes a surprising amount of work. For someone who’s had a show and been on tv a lot she’s still a novice at this. She’s not a natural. Anyone who’s worked with the pros knows they are naturals and it’s like sports or music. You got it or you don’t.

Agree on the content too. The segment was worthless.

Oh, helllllll nooooo. I just watched it. The entire segment was about Jen’s bikini pics from Mexico and how it didn’t make sense for “her community” to be upset about them because she and her friends went on vacation and got healthier by “walking and doing all the things”. All the things???? You got a tummy tuck and are still lying to us!
Oprah literally said, “People got mad? You just went to Mexico with your friends!”.

I cannot believe that this is what the segment was about. What a slap in the face to all of us, from both Sis and Oprah. The entire conversation was basically, “Don’t be jealous because we look good now.”

FYI, this proves the “Here’s a pic of me as a teen and I hated my body” post was BS and just a lead up to Oprah.
