Don't spread misinformation. Especially for people still considering traveling to FL for vacation. Every single Florida county has a case spread of 45 or higher per 100K. EVERY. SINGLE. ONE. |
| I think this winter will be difficult in colder climates especially. Masks are now required indoors here, plus doing the recommended social distancing & hand-washing now. We expect capacity limits on indoor dinning, church, etc. to come again later this fall. We are going to take a daily multi-vitamin, get a flu shot and our vaccine boosters/kid vaccines when available. We have a little back stock (basics like toothpaste, peanut butter, chicken stock, beans and toilet paper) here at home if needed. I think that is about all we can do. The rest is out of our hands at this point. |
Who is WE? And where is it HERE? |
| Went to an urgent care center last week in Fairfax for an injury. It was packed and had many people asking about COVID testing. I overheard many of them tell the receptionists that they thought they had COVID, rather than just testing for work or travel. It was very eye opening and told me that it might be spreading in our area. |
| I am vaccinated, with Moderna, dear amused pp, for me this pandemic is over, one way or another. |
Just plan for fever, cough, 10 days of quarantine, losing taste and smell, body aches and fatigue. |
So? I can get sick with just about anything and had gotten sick in the past with similar or worse. We are supposed to hide forever since we can get sick for 10 days? Were you never sick in your life? |
That's it? BFD. |
Someone who is holed up in her house with her beans and toilet paper. |
why, after all this time, would you hoard food and TP? |
Exactly! What do people think is going to happen? Grocery store closures? When did that ever happen? Some people are just obsessed with COVID and they are Type A so they want to feel like they are “doing something.” I’m so glad we moved from the DMV. I can’t imagine living around all of that fear and anxiety anymore. |
That’s more or less the worst case scenario for vaccinated people. The most likely scenario is a couple of days of a running nose, or crashing out on the couch for a day and watching TV while you recover. If you’re vaccinated, go back to living your life however you want. |
Some people just thrive on being afraid. |
How many people are dying in Florida? You are only cherry picking what suits you and screaming at others for spreading misinformation. Cases are rising in Maryland too. I suppose it's just a matter of time we catch up with Florida. Who really cares how many people get COVID. All that matters, if it matters, is deaths. But I really don't care. Do you? I suspect not. It's just a form of politics. COVID is here to stay. |
+1. We also moved out of the lunacy of the DMV. I go to the grocery store everyday. because I suck at making lists and meal planning. Kids have been happily back in school for close to 3 weeks with absolutely no mention of shutdowns. Ever. Quarantine for affected kids yes but no thoughts of complete shutdowns. People here have not lost their fuc#ing minds over covid. It’s wonderful. |
