Well 4 girls left the 2009 Arlington team for McLean. Also another 2009 Arlington player was moved to 2008 so I do not think that team is strong. IMO Loudoun #1 and McLean #2

This is not correct; 2 girls went to Mclean where their dad has been coaching the age group for years.

Isn't CW old enough to be a Grand Dad?

All Arlington spots for 2021/2022 season are already filled. at most you have one spot left. Arlington team size is always small.

I agree that the Loudoun pre-ECNL is the top 09 team in the area. After Loudoun, do you think that McLean or Arlington will field the better 13U ECNL team next year? Both seem to have some nice and talented players.

VDA will have a strong team every year.

Slice off the top 6-7 players on VSA's top U12 team, slice off the top 6-7 players on PWSI's top team, add a few others who will try out next year and you have a strong team with very little drop-off towards the end of the roster.

This will happen every year and VDA will have a consistent and guaranteed pipeline, while other clubs do not and have to rely on luck any given year (like mclean picking up GFR players) to get those extra players in to provide more depth to their U13 team.

This years VDA team looks to be the entire VSA squad. PWSI is pretty week at this age and only a couple outsiders showed up for tryouts so far.

Agreed. Loudoun won Arlington ASIST, albeit with one bad outcome...PPA is certainly the best Maryland team we have played in an official match. Pipeline and Baltimore Union up next!

Ok let’s turn this around a little bit. As an 09 parent considering options, who are your favorite coaches at this age group? Lots of talk here and the 08 thread of who you don’t like, but would love to hear about any of the stand out coaches. Looking for Virginia based, but something like Bethesda close enough to consider too.
