Getting 2yo to wear a mask

I'm 100% pro mask for adults, but it's just too much to ask very young kids to mask up all day.

Our 26 month old wears a mask at the park. I don't think it would be that big of a deal if she didn't, but I want to be consistent and we started her mask wearing at the park when she turned 2 largely because the peer pressure helped. "Mommy's wearing a mask! Daddy's wearing a mask! All the kids are wearing masks! We wear masks at the park." That + designs she liked and lots of praise for keeping it on did the trick. Despite people on this thread making it sound like child abuse, she is really not bothered by it.

That said, I recognize kids are different and it doesn't bother me when I see others without. I would keep trying but be patient.

So peer pressure drives you to mask her, and you use peer pressure to teach her to blindly follow rules that make no sense?
