The students who selected hybrid also will be "wholy deprived" of any physical interaction with the teacher. The teacher will have to stay at their desk, or standing in the same spot the entire time, so that DL students can see what she's doing, too. She cannot walk over a desk--less than 6 feet anyway. She will not be able to offer any additional guidance to those who are there, so there is absolutely no advantage to being there in person. Meanwhile, the teacher will have to stop to discipline people in the room now, those not wearing masks, those talking to others, etc., so everything will be slower and harder to follow. Hope you're happy now! |
Some APS teachers were not asked for any input or even told they might be moved to another location. The communication with teachers has been extremely poor. |
The preference survey went to all staff so I am not sure what your are referring to. I know that being moved sucks, it has happened to me. APS does not guarantee placement at a school as enrollment needs change. Creating a pool of distance teachers and shuffling in-person teachers could have been a way to actually give the largest amount of teachers and families their preference. I think the major pushback for the idea of moving teachers around was from families, but there were some vocal teachers as well. |
We are well aware of that. For us, it is still preferable to what's happening now. That we made a different choice does not mean we don't have the same information you do, so please stop arrogantly assuming that anyone with a different opinion is just ignorant. |
Back to school bitch mes |
Oh, we know. You just need your kids out of your hair. Not sure why it’s the teachers’ job to provide your free childcare. |
Try harder. |
