The Democrats have gotten say more attention because they had to go through primaries and debates to pick a candidate, plus they had to pick a VP. The GOP has an incumbent and hasn't even started to rally their base hard.

New polls show that Trump is rapidly gaining on Biden:

The lead for Biden is now dangerously approaching a lead that's within margins of error, meaning it is virtually a toss up. The haven't even debated yet. A lot can still happen before election, such as a trade deal with China that makes the stock market explode or approval of a COVID vaccine. I wouldn't be counting my chickens before the eggs have hatched if I were the Dems.

Look at the average of the polls
https://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2020/president/us/general_election_trump_vs_biden-6247.html

Biden's been bouncing around 50% since April.

After 2016, very few people think Biden has a lock on this. But he still looks good at the moment. That's the most you or I can say.

Read the CNN poll data taken from this week. Voters are now split between Biden and Trump well within the margin of error. In swing states where votes actually matter, the race is neck and neck. I'd be very worried if I were Biden and the Democrats. Their lead has essentially vanished, and the GOP hasn't even started to rally their base yet. Wait for the debates too.

What magic are the debates going to accomplish? Clinton handily won the debates, for all the good it did her.

Yeah, but she debated. It looks bad if a candidate wont debate. It becomes an issue in and of itself.

Who’s refusing to debate?

I said "if"

No one has said they won’t debate so what’s the point of pretending otherwise?

less than 70 days to the election. When are they debating? Has it been scheduled?

Don’t you follow the news?

Not too much. I apologize, when are they?

Of course it has. Rioters are tearing the country down and Joe and Kamala are cheering them on. How exactly did you think sane people would respond to that?

Trumpsters are sane? Bizarro universe indeed.

Joe needs to reverse Trump’s momentum and fast, but what can he do?
Suddenly condemning the riots and pledging law and order may not play to his most impassioned supporters

Crisp and clear undergraduate student loan forgiveness for all low and middle class families. The plan his team put out is worthless -- forgiveness after 20 FREAKING YEARS?! Gee thanks. Which bankers and loan service provider lobbyists wrote that worthless crap.

Exec order forgiving all Federally held 2- and 4-year student loans immediately. I think that sum total is in the $500B range.

Why should student loans be forgiven?

Undergrad student debt has exacerbated inequality; record low marriage and baby rates, punts home and auto purchases. It's serfdom.

I don't see any Trump signs at all in my neighborhood this election. There were at least 4 of them in 2016 within 3 blocks of my house. My parents in the midwest have reported the same -- no Trump signs to be seen.

I don’t know how many times this has to be said: political signs are no measure of who might win. Especially in this climate. Putting out a yard sign - for either candidate - is just asking for it to be stolen or defaced. No one I know is interested in signaling their political preference.

Weird. In 2016, there were zero campaign signs in my neighborhood. Now, we have several Biden, BLM and hate has no home here signs. If my neighbors are like me, they didn't care enough in the past to place a sign, but now they feel they MUST make sure trump doesn't get four(+) more years.

Trump is going to win in a landslide if democrats don’t get violence under control.

Democrats. Get. Your. Sh&t. Together.

Trump now leads in a national poll for the first time ever.

It’s not because of his hair.

Signs don’t elect presidents; voters do.

That is not a legitimate poll. First, it's only being reported in Breitbart and one or two other right wing places. Second, the guy who runs it is a former tobacco industry shill. If you want to know what a tobacco industry shill does, see the movie, "Thank You for Not Smoking." I think this is the guy it was based on.

Hey dummy. Joe has repeatedly condemned violence and rioting. Also he does not want to defund the police. stating it once again.

Protests are fodder for Trump to boast his might and racist ideas. People are getting killed in these protests. If Dems want to win, it's time to focus on Biden's platform and Trump's Covid-19 response. Nothing more or we lose.

Oh goody, so if Trump wins again, you Democrats will - once again - be protesting a democratically elected president. Can’t wait.

Losing the popular vote is not democratically elected. Get over yourself.

Conservatives are SO SMUG. The only reason you ever have a POTUS in the last 20 years is the Electoral College.

Enjoy it while it lasts. The demographics are against you
