We haven't gotten any notification from the school. We're going to log in 2 hours later than normal, unless we hear otherwise. There's no special announcement in BB as of right now.

Just received MS email. All classes will still take place, but will have a delayed start and will be shorted to about 20 minutes each.

This is disappointing to now have even shorter time in class. Why couldn’t they keep the full time period originally allotted per class, just delay actual class start time? Is it about ending school at standard contract time?

which school was this, in our school (Great Schools Rating of 9) they suspended elementary school kids who tried to mis-use technology.

It’s not FCPS. It’s the parents who have not raised their children to act appropriately. I’m glad your kid who had an online class in his AP course a few times had appropriate classmates. Now we’ve got the whole school taking all classes online. It’s not the teachers fault these kids can’t behave appropriately. And before you start in on how it is their responsibility to manage classroom behaviors- there is a huge difference between dealing with talking in class or not doing class work and being spammed with the most vile porn and racist/sexist language. You don’t even know who is sending it so you can’t do anything. Not FCPS at all. It is a whole community problem that stems from bad parenting.

How is this possible - you’re signed in with your name.

You type in your own name and it wasn’t attached to an email acct. so really the students could type any name and the teacher would have no idea who it is.

But the name is attached to an IP acct.

Do you mean yesterday or in the past?

My DS was "suspended from technology" for a week for being inappropriate, IOW he had no ipad for a week. That was a couple years ago, not now.
