Based on experience - has anyone had DC admitted to a top 20 school with a 3.5 - 3.6 GPA NO HOOKS?

GS is only available to kids too old for admission to the college or who are in special programs like JTS or Julliard.

That's not true. I know lots of kids that went there after taking a semester at c.c. or doing nothing. They only require you be out of traditional school for 6 months.

A year now.

Applicants are only eligible for admission if they have taken a break of a year or more in their educational paths or have a compelling reason for which they can only attend Columbia as a part-time student.

Dd got accepted to BU, Northeastern and Sycracuse with a 3.6 UW/ 4.2 w gpa and 1300 SAT 700v/600m

We are full pay. No merit at BU or NU but $10k at Sycracuse.

Full pay is a hook. 3.6/1300 doesn’t sniff Northeastern at our school if requesting FA. Our daughter was waitlisted at 3.95/1450.

Just apply anyway.

None of those are top 20.

Just an example of where a kid was accepted...
