The building is outdated. But other than that, it's a terrific school.

It’s getting renovated starting summer of 2020. Swing space is still I unknown.

Congrats!! We were a first year family last year and had a wonderful first year. There are some old chains that have some criticisms of SWS (mainly about lack of diversity, and a sense of expectation for parents to volunteer a lot). While not a particularly diverse school, it’s better in the lower grades than upper grades and I hope will continue to improve. And there are a lot of opportunities to volunteer but it’s because they do so many field trips and other wonderful activities, which we love. I don’t have any thing negative personally to say—it’s really exceeded our expectations in many ways. I hope you’ll experience the same!

I live on the Hill about 5 blocks from SWS. Every family I know in real life is incredibly happy there. The minor complaints they have are problems I would love to have at my IB. I’m incredibly jealous. Enjoy!

Why are people talking about the Monument space? That school is transferring to Friendship ... not closing as originally speculated.
