It's like this everywhere. I think it's because the curriculum changes so much, the textbooks quickly become outdated.

Ok. But how about math??? Why not at least have a core textbook in math?
2+2 will remain 4 in 100 years. Right?

True, but the way they teach it changes. I mean I didn't even understand the math methods that they were teaching my 2nd grader last year. Even though of course I knew the answer, I couldn't help that much with the method that was taught at school.

There are elementary textbooks in FCPS in Math. There are also social studies textbooks for some grades.

But they are all digital.

My elementary school has no math textbook. We were all given a session of training on Origo and I don’t know anyone that used it, including the teachers that led the training. I just really would like a workbook so the kids can practice problems without me having to run off pages all the time and keep track of where they are and who was absent and didn’t get one, etc. If I had enough time I could run off my own workbooks and staple them together, but I don’t. TPT has tons of typos and factual errors and schools are starting to clamp down on them.
