LOL. Which zip code do you live in? You sound clueless. |
I am a living example of what PP said. I live a modest life with a modest house and car and clothes and my net worth is 4 million. Why waste a 2 million to show of for someone else? Silly way of living life to impress someone who doesn't care about you. |
The Gucci shopping bags in the closest seal the deal for me
|
| I don’t hate them all as a relative custom built one that is gorgeous, but I prefer Victorians and historical homes even with all the problems that come with them |
That is not logical |
Is it logical for you to think your preferences are universal? I agree with the PP. |
The wood is definitely superior. Heck I've ripped out old studs that would be classified as vertical grain. But - the framing itself is often undersized so it's a trade off. But I'll admit to be partial to an older well done home. |
I mean really, who would not hate that?! Better to buy a cookie cutter in Urbana for way less, and they are less ugly. |
| I drive a 12 year old Honda Civic and live in an old (renovated house). I also own a large house on the beach that I inherited. I am really struggling to understand why I should move to an ugly new build to show random passersby that I have money. |
I’m struggling to understand why you think it’s important to assert on an anonymous forum that you have money. How about you do you and not make assumptions about the motives of others? |
I seem to have struck a nerve. Struggling with the mortgage on your monstrosity? My post addresses the posters above who were calling people “poors,” “poseurs,” and other things. |
Preferring something with problems is not logical |
+10000 #metoo!! |
Everything house has its problems. Especially ugly new builds with no backyards. |
| New builds are more typically found in the exurbs and suburban areas with a lot of ugly old teardowns, not desirable close-in neighborhoods. Many people would rather live close in, in an older home, due to reasons of commute, and housing prices reflect that. |
