There are a lot of morons on this thread who have a very narrow sense of human trafficking (or have no clue what it means and are chiming in anyway). Most people being trafficked are not being kept under lock and key all the time. They have phones, are able to communicate with family and friends., etc. They came to this country willingly and don't want to leave. |
What are you talking about? DH and I go together at least once a month. Nothing odd about men taking care of themselves. |
| I go to Solar Nails in Takoma Park and appreciate that it's been many of the same workers for years, I hear them talk/complain about what shifts they're getting and the local schools their kids are in, and they held onto their "good" shifts during the pandemic even though there were no customers because they didn't want to give them up. They seem to value working there and seem like normal, work class immigrant folks. Happy to continue giving them my business and tipping well. |
