What is a nice and polite way to say someone is full of shit?

And then go on with whatever you were saying before their BS. If the BS is pretty clearly intended to be insulting or condescending towards me I like to be a little harsher. I'll let them finish and the pause for a moment before asking "Are you done then?" and then return to the previous conversation or change the subject. People hate this because it leaves them with only two choices -- try to double down on whatever malarkey they were offering up or just stop. When their intention was to make me look dumb while hiding behind some story they made up. |
