Fixed that for you. |

Bill Clinton.
POTUS didn't say so, but his people clearly sent the message to the extent that Bill got pissed. Anyone who could send Ricky Ray Rector to his death clearly does not see the humanity in other races. |

| Glenn Close. Years back on Letterman she said when she was in Africa she couldn't get over how every one was black--it was just so alarming and unexpected for her |
Was she trying to be sarcastic. This comment makes no sense. |
| Kanye mostly just comes across as hair trigger type loony--like turn into on coming traffic like Christopher Walken's fantasy in Annie Hall. |
no--she said this without a trace of irony-- she implied that she knew it would be that way but the reality was just too much for her. |

About how long ago do you think this was? Was she promoting a movie? I want to try and find the video. Her father apparently was the personal physician to an African dictator when she was a teen. Did it come off like she was reciting thoughts of when she was a clueless teen who grew up in all white Greenwich, Conn (I'm really trying to find an excuse for her bc she seems smarter than that)? |

Hmm. Did not know that about her father. This was about 20 years ago--I was floored by it--they were about to go to commercial break and I think she thought she couldn't be heard over the transition music-- but she distinctly said "and when I got off the plane, I just couldn't believe everyone was black!" She seemed to be referring to going there for a movie shoot. It was a long time ago--but it has stayed with me because I did not think of her that way at all. |
