exactly. I thought I wasn't doing well with lunches until I saw what some of the other kids had.... |
People whose kids are vegetarian. |
Well since they have to teach your over-processed sugar-ridden kid, it is nice to speak out. My guess is the kids that eat the crap get the F on her nerves in the afternoon. I volunteer in my kid's K class and at 10am they have a snack from home. Some of the kids bring 6 pack Oreos for their morning snack. WTF!! |
I do all the time. PB on celery, PB and apples, and occasionally a PB and Strawberry jam sandwich. All natural on whole wheat bread. Great source of protein as long as you get one without too much sugar. |
Using the term "trailer trash" makes you an uninformed idiot. But, also, our school has said explicitly we are allowed to have peanut butter, because we don't have an allergy issue in our kid's class. So why shouldn't we? It's high protein and has good fats in it. I keep the overall sugar content low by avoiding a dessert on days we do a PB&J. I do put a fruit in (sometimes one of those "packed in water" fruit cups if I don't have fresh on hand), but not usually a veg. Because every time I pack a vegetable, it comes right back home in the lunch. So, instead, I make sure they eat fruit with breakfast and lots of veggies at dinner, where I can actually make sure they eat it. Judgey Judgerson STFU. |

Some classic DCUM santimony in this here thread. |
anyone sending their kids with a pb sandwich is lazy and sending disgusting unhealthy food.. They should be publicly humiliated and shamed into providing better food. |
OK, I had to click and read why Foods4BetterHealth.com thinks that I should never eat peanut butter. 1. It could contain trans fats. But does it? Nope. The ingredients in the peanut butter I use are: peanuts. 2. Toxic mold! However, the National Institutes for Health (not Foods4BetterHealth.com, but still) says, "The FDA believes occasionally eating small amounts of aflatoxin poses little risk over a lifetime." 3. Allergies to toxic mold Regardless of whether it's the peanuts or the aflatoxin that causes allergic reactions in people who have allergic reactions to peanut butter, I do not have any allergic reactions to peanut butter. 4. Pesticides. I buy organic peanut butter. 5. Inflammation from too much omega-6. Nope, I don't have that. 6. Oxalates. I don't have kidney problems either. So, advice from Foods4BetterHealth.com notwithstanding, I think that I will continue to eat peanut butter. Yum! |
PB hater, you've posted this on other threads. Do you follow this site's celebrity diets, too? Please, share more of your dietary wisdom! |
You sound like somebody who doesn't know anything about nutrition. Go away. |
Also, wondering what you send your kid to school with. Would looove a sample menu. |
Stir fry free range organic chicken breast and organic veges and sobe noodles made fresh the previous night hand cut chicken tenders baked in olive oil hand pulled organic gain fed beef stew with organic veges over etc... Read any parent magazine to get some good easy recipes. If your food doesn't consist of turning on the stove and cooking it's probably terrible. Getting some crappy wonder bread, opening a jar of peanut butter and jelly/honey slapping it on there and calling it a day is giving up on your kids health and shows zero parental effort. |
