what do you think when you see a woman in a hijab?

I think about Patient Griselda, a very popular story in medieval Europe. One thousand years, that's how long it has taken us to get away from Patient Griselda. Some of us.

Agree. I also wonder why as a group these women revolt against and have a Hajab burning and tell the men the Times have changed.

Everyone in this line of immigrants looks like they are bundled up against the cold. The women are wearing scarves and the men are wearing hats because it is cold , probably not for religious reasons.

I didn't say for religious reasons, but Eastern European women wore headscarves year round. It is a cultural thing.

I lived in the Middle East and I wondered if women felt super hot wearing one. I was super hot not wearing one but I didn't grow up in that kind of heat.

I am so proud to be an American when I see a fellow American in hijab. What a great country! Every religion is practiced here without fear of bigotry!

FANTASTIC!

Usually nothing. Sometimes I wonder if she's really sweating on a hot summer day.

I wonder how done-up she is under the veil. I heard from a stylist who is Muslim (though not hijab-wearing) that they really pay attention to hair, makeup, skin.
