We had 19 people in a 3 bedroom house this past weekend. 11 adults, 8 kids. We do it every year for the last 35 years at our grandparents house. Best family memories ever.

I'm not going to bash you, OP. I totally get that sometimes we have to put up with a lot to keep the peace in a family. I would never pull a total bitchfest and demand that my husband sit out or make waves at a large family event simply because it doesn't suit my inner princess. Clearly others here don't have the same opinion and are much more vocal in making demands and refusing to compromise or bear any kind of inconvenience. Good luck and make the best of it.

Can't you just get a room to retire for naps and night? Your DH can hang with his family all night or join you later. Do they really need to sleep on top of one another to bond?
