Street parking spaces etiquette

When it snows, and you have to dig out a space, use traffic cones or lawns chairs or something to "save" your space when you have to go out. Everyone we know does that. It is only fair, you dug it out. We live in NWDC.

We live in SE DC and if you tried that your lawn chairs/comes would be stolen within 5 min and someone would be in your spot.

I would expect it in a city, obviously.

If someone buys a house in a suburb, one of the things they often notice is the curbage - whether or not it is empty, for example.

We have bought and sold several houses, and this is always noticed, same with everyone we know. The neighbors know this. They can pretend they don't all they want. There is a reason they are not in Hollywood [instead ugly Hollywood ]
ie: they are bad actors!

OP, just park there and let them be the bad guys.
