Blair CAP Program or RM's IB?

9:59 This is fascinating! The demographics suggest Blair is a more complex school, which is an obvious conclusion because it is more diverse socioeconomically. But the gallup questionnaires have Blair looking healthier from a social-emotional point of view, and the subjective measure of safety is only minimally greater at RMHS. Comparing across most questions, especially the last section which to me is very important, Blair looks like a more balanced, healthy, happy place to be. Blair kids also reporting volunteering their time more, which says something (not sure what--either they have more time, school isn't the only thing in their life, they are more generous, or are encouraged to have balance...not sure). This is really a fascinating comparison. I wouldn't have necessarily expected Blair to come out better.

So, how does Kennedy's LTI program compare?

LOL! OMG I can't even believe this is a question. Send your kid to IB.

I went through CAP after going to Eastern Magnet. Thought it'd be the same kind of kids. Not at all. 90% of them were morons. The ones who weren't were alumni from magnet TPMS or EMS. REALLY. It is such a joke. I am surprised it is even still around!!!

OMG, this can't be right! Because WAY more than 10% of CAP kids are alumnae of TPMS or EMS! And OMG, I just can't believe you're suggesting that one kid's experience in one year is enough anecdata for the rest of us to make important decision! REALLY!

Must be the mom-moron of one of the CAP-morons. Did you read? I was there all four years with dim wits who were having affairs with faculty. Do some research. Sketchy sketch sketch history of Blair CAP!

+1, with bells on!

This must be the same hater who got shot down with actual *facts* when she made up BS about magnet exmissions to UMD, the magnet supposedly taking over CAP, and the Blair principal's twitter feed. How low will she go? SMH

A teacher at MBHS indeed married a former CAP student who was his student. Many faculty members were invited to the wedding, as former CAP students, and he is very open about the relationship.

I don't know what the hater is trying to imply here. But it hardly sounds like the MBHS teacher ended up in jail for sexually assaulting a minor.

PS, if this even happened. Or if it happened within the last 20 years and is therefore remotely relevant.
