perdoname por favor. Quiza no soy tan educada como usted. Por sopuesto, como suspecho que usted sepa, intente mencionar el pais COLOMBIA. Ya.

When all else fails, attack spelling and grammar. And I have no idea how to put accents or punctuation in Spanish either. Of course they meant Colombia. As you appear to know (as does everyone else), there is no country called Columbia. But thank you for the education. I learn something new about the error of my ways every day. The beauty of DCUMs.

The pp claims to know a lot about her relative's diversity, but doesn't know the name of the country that she is using as the basis of this diversity. If she hadn't demonstrated such asinine entitlement, it wouldn't be relevant at all.

Also, I believe this discussion is in English, and no one here seems to be having difficulty with it, so no need to switch languages.

Well there is a first time for everything. I have never become so disgusted by a post that I quit. But me rindo.

I never claimed to be a dictionary. I am capable of knowing what country someone comes from without being able to spell it. The NYC parents didn't correct my spelling and got the irony immediately. They focused on the message not the messenger or the style of delivery.

Maybe I belong on a thread with New Yorkers, although not the ones who were so disgusted etc. Or people who came over before the Mayflower. Or people who have a little more life experience that is none of your business.

How many of you speak Nahuatl? How many of you went to at least 3 private schools in DC? How many of you lived blocks away from the twin towers and lost friends and colleagues? How many of you attended Ivy League colleges? How many of you have been raped? How many of you attend some kind of religious service at least once a week? How many of you are disabled? How many of you are trilingual or more? How many of you have almost been murdered and know at least two people close to you who have been? How many of you are in the Green Book?

Now why don't we all quiet down for a moment.

As for being an entitled twit, we are a public school family in it for the long haul in this ugly city, by necessity although I would never send my kids most of these private schools even if they paid me because they are full of entitled twit parents who will pass the same entitled twiticism on to their kids and no one who actually knows me would associate me or any member of my immediate family with that crowd. Which means..... you do not know me. Or everyone who does is wrong.

Sorry I sound like one to all you mean spirited ladies with so much time on your hands. But I will not see you at Miss Simmons. Go crawl back into the crevices you came from and please stay there. If you really think that if you had the money the only morally responsible thing to do would be to send your kid to school with a bunch of rich kids, or that even though you have the money the only socially responsible thing to do is to put your kid into a failing school, I think I must be a bit older and wiser than some of you even if I cannot spell.

But what you folks do not seem to have is open minds and so there is no point in me wasting any more of my time. And my family FINALLY all got home so I got somewhere better to go.

Peace out.

From the entitled twit douchebag who led the first group of juveniles ever to be arrested in front of the South African Embassy - in the company of Rosa Parks. That gives me some street cred with my kids, gives my law and order husband a lot of explaining to do, and I am virtually sure that none of you were there with me.... in 1983.

OMG, I think we found a certifiable one.

I haven't been paying attention to any of this, but just opened the thread to see you compare yourself to Rosa Parks - you are a douche - and whatever you think your kids think of you, I'm betting you're way off sweets.

This concerns me. You should probably see a therapist if you thought this was relevant to the discussion.

I was 12 when we all got arrested. And meeting and being arrested with Rosa Parks (not being her) remains one of the highlights of my life.

As I said, older and wiser. Not in need of therapy, just a little less nastiness. Maybe if I put on my grandma glasses you all calling me an entitled twit and douchebag won't look so bad.

PS someone who opts out because the conversation has sunk to a lower level has not been bested - they have decided they are better than all of it.

People who opt out don't say PS.

Come on folks...it's a common mistake to misspell Colombia and Columbia, named after the same prick, spelled different in two different languages. Similar to Brazil and Brasil. Give her a break.

No words for those , but to be fair, if she wasn't given such a hard time, those ones would have never came out.

PS - you still have yet to "opt out" of the conversation.
