My apologies but now I am really confused! So, there is a chance that a kid is in the pool based on test scores but the local (i.e. school) screening committee decides not to refer the student to the central committee? Is that even possible? I thought that all kids who are in the pool (one way or another) and their screening files are forwarded to the central committee for final selection. Am I wrong? |
Yes, it is possible. Extremely unlikely, but possible. |
I would think that in-pool students files will always be sent to central committee. |
Yes. It happens. It was discussed at our AAP info meeting last fall. We were told that if that were the case, the parents would be notified and can request that the file be sent forward if they wish. |

Lees Corner: From folder or mail?
Thanks. |
| In the pool @ Brookfield from mail |
| Can everyone who has received the in-pool letter identify what school they are from? This would be a huge help. I checked the mail and have not received one yet. |
| Called Kings Park and was told that they had not yet received the letters from the testing office and wouldnt get them out before Friday at the earliest. |
| Wow! The letters or the scores? I thought the schools got the letters last week and were instructed to mail out this week? |
| I haven't received a letter or scores... |
| Called the testing office and was told that the CogAT scores should be received next week, around the middle of the week. |
| Does that mean pool letters are going out first? |
