Catholic priest denies communion to lesbian

It's sad that the Catholic church can condone and pardon pederasty, child abuse and even homosexuality from the priesthood to the point of excusing it and relocating the criminals without any form of punishment but they can't allow a lesbian Catholic to honor her mother at the mother's funeral. The hypocritical church at work.

See the Link and you madam are spewing hate! Your children are more likely to be harmed in a DC public school then the Catholic Church. Statistically your Children stand a greater chance of being abused by any of your family members.
What are you doing to keep them safe? Do you keep them from School. Do you keep them away from Families.

Pedophilia is not homosexuality. Pedophilia actually much more common among straight men.

Uh, you don't send them to DC Public Schools. Or you send them to one of the few good ones.

And the independent report demonstrated that homosexuality was not the cause of the problem. If you care to read, this is spelled out clearly.

At least the Boy Scouts had the good sense to place restrictions on homosexuals serving as troop scoutmasters, but then they're condemnied for doing what the Catholic church is condemned for not doing. Talk about hypocricy.

The real issue is, the heirarchy of the Church in many cases has refused to take action against those priests who committed these terrible acts.

Nope. No one I know is saying the Catholic church should ban homosexxuals from being priests.

The Church needs to remove known abusers, not move them quietly to new locations, and needs to apologize to victims for it's failure to act in a timely manner to protect children.

17:50 here again. If you read, I very distinctly separated the two, although I used pederasty instead of pedophilia, but otherwise I concur. I for one, so not see a problem with homosexuality, but I know that the church does. And I was citing the fact that the church chooses to ignore pederasts and homosexuals within the priesthood, to the point of just moving them to other jurisdictions without penalties and yet, this hypocrite of a bishop will not even give this layperson communion at her mother's funeral. The Catholic Church is a bastion of corruption and not worthy of teaching God's word.

You people are oblivious. The vast majority of priests are gay including the one who wouldn't give out communion. You people are clueless. There would be no priests left if gays were banned.
