Which bands are they arguing over?! My nephew marched in one today. |

I’m at friends’ for my first divorced Thanksgiving and we are getting the table prepped for dinner. There is an extra chair. DC asked who the extra chair is for.
Apparently it’s for the dog. But don’t worry, she’ll only be joining us for dessert. Because she has other obligations? Doesn’t like Thanksgiving food? |

Thanksgiving divorce update. We slept in (DH went over earlier) rolled in to the ILs house around 10 ish and….no one is there.
MIL is having DH help her MOVE her stuff out today. Like, carting stuff out in boxes. No cooking has taken place yet. This is insane!!!! |
| Also, one brother said he will not let either pending divorce or actual Thanksgiving interfere with his efforts to get swole. He’s gone to work out. 2 hours has passed and no one has heard from him. I’m principally interested because he’s in charge of frying the turkey. |
Are there grandkids watching/helping with the moving of boxes??? |
I’m afraid to ask but need to know: where is MIL going? |
Grandpa went to turn on the tv to show us something off YouTube and the volume was literally at 100. All us kids immediately flipped out and wrenched the remote away. We all agreed we couldn’t stand listening to the tv all day. |
Omg you need to start a new thread so we can have dedicated updates. This is bananas. What is FIL doing? |
| rain shower shower head. Who likes these? |
Luckily (?) not many little kids around. One BIL is divorced and his 3 kids are with their mom this year. SIL has no kids. Then there is mine, 18 months old and another grand, 10 , with other family. |
She’s moving in with a cousin of hers, across town. Long term, who knows? |
|
| In place of grace before the meal, MIL read out the theme words from today’s NYT Strands puzzle. “Thankful,” “friends,” “health,” etc. I think this was intended as a gesture of acceptance for the atheists (DH and me) at the table? Um? |
This made me LOL! |
She sure knows how to use her guests. My family visited in the summer and I was entertaining. On second thought I should have made them transport my old couch to my dad’s house instead! |
