Yeah, me neither.

Has Josh Shapiro ever even suggested that an Islamophobic slogan (the equivalent of "globalize the intifada") is acceptable? No? Didn't think so.

No but Josh Shapiro has not spoken out against Israel while they are committing genocide (as called out by genocide scholars including ones of Jewish faith) in Gaza.

I am a big fan of his and don't think he's a danger to anyone obviously. But he's made statements about "volunteering with the IDF," was involved in protest crackdowns (per news reports), etc. If someone wanted to pull all of that into a "concerning" narrative/smear, it would be pretty easy to do so. The point is that it would be very gross to do so, as as it is here.

Genocide Josh will never be president. He was in the IDF--as a volunteer!! If he is even nominated by the Dems, the Dems may never win another election again. It'll push more anti-genocide American youth to become independents. It's common sense that anyone serving in a foreign military, especially one that is as undisciplined and vengeful as the Israeli ethnic army is, should not even be considered a serious candidate in a party primary.

Times of Israel: Josh Shapiro seeks to downplay his time as IDF volunteer after college op-ed resurfaces

In the 1993 op-ed, which dismissed the recently signed Oslo Accords, Shapiro wrote, “Despite my skepticism as a Jew and a past volunteer in the Israeli army, I strongly hope and pray that this ‘peace plan’ will be successful.”

“Palestinians will not coexist peacefully,” Shapiro also wrote in the op-ed titled “Peace Not Possible.”

“They do not have the capabilities to establish their own homeland and make it successful even with the aid of Israel and the United States. They are too battle-minded to be able to establish a peaceful homeland of their own,” added the then-20-year-old.

Are they going to be smartphone geofencing New Yorkers who visit City Hall like the Israelis already plan on doing to any person who visits any church on the west coast?

NPR: ADL creates new 'Mamdani Monitor' project to track his administration policies

Mamdani is the first Muslim and person of South Asian descent elected to lead the nation's largest city, which includes a Jewish population of well over 1 million people. He is also a critic of Israel and its war in Gaza. After his victory, the ADL took an unprecedented step: announcing an "initiative to track and monitor Mamdani administration policies and appointments."

The project includes tracking actions by Mamdani's administration "that impact Jewish community safety and security." The ADL's announcement also said it was setting up a citywide tip line for people to report antisemitic incidents in New York.

Special interest groups are constantly doing similar things for many different reasons. The ADL isn't a taxpayer funded entity. This is a nothing burger if there ever was one. Find real problems to whine about.

Wes Moore and Glenn Youngkin haven't "spoken out against Israel" either. Do you know why? Because they are AMERICAN, you dimwit. We have our own problems to deal with. A governor's job is to speak out against the wrongs happening in THEIR state. Think a little bit before posting such nonsense online.

Nope. The Holocaust Industrial Complex in America is a sinking ship. Americans saved the Jews. ADL should be on its knees thanking Americans instead of taking money from foreign agent billionaires in order to guiltshame them into loving Israel. Find another country you can whore. The normal Jews (aka the "thirty percent and growing," won't miss what you've become: a single issue, non-civil rights, organization.

No one cares about the ADL and no one cares about you. Crawl back under your rock.

Mamdani and Trump are very similar. Both are anti moderate politician, not obsessed about optics or political correctness, both buck the establishment and are obsessed with living up to the promises they made to their voters.

There’s a reason people gravitated to them

Similarities go far deeper than that: both are rich-kid demagogues with extremist political associations who brashly attack problems by proposing the worst imaginable solutions to those problems.

Mamdani is Bizarro Trump.

Stop trying to make fetch happen, friend.
Like mamdani or not, no one is falling for this line of thought.

DP. The PP is absolutely correct. Mamdani has made some of the most absurd proposals for NYC. It's sure going to be a fun four years, watching him try and run an enormous city with virtually no prior work experience. Well, he was a rapper, so maybe that will help in some way?

There’s nothing absurd about wanting universal child care and workers and tenants rights

And how will these things be paid for?

Why is it always up to other people to educate the maga ignorant masses? Go read.

Why do twits like you always accuse anyone challenging them as being "maga"? We've read plenty, which is how we know that he has no real way to pull off his pie in the sky proposals. People like you are, frankly, the very epitome of ignorant. You and anyone who voted for this huckster are the true rubes.

But I thought they were supposed to be a broader "for everybody" org, eg No Place For Hate work with so many schools (including our MCPS).

+1. A good number of Jews voted for Mamdani because they can differentiate criticism of the Israeli state from criticism of the Jewish religion. Sorry the ADL wants to justify the death and starvation of 60,000 Palestinians by Israel.

DP. Only 30% of Jews voted for him. Hardly a "good number," but do continue peddling your propaganda.

Every single piece of "garbage" posted by most people on this forum critical of Israel and its foreign agents has a verifiable, mainstream citation. Zionists never post a cite. Neither do the zionists who pose as "third party" to proclaim that they're not interested but of course the anti-zionist is a zealot. I guess there aren't too many critical pieces you can find online that cite, "because the bible says so," as a definitive reason why zionism should exist.

This is a political forum in THE UNITED STATES! 99% of us here don't give a dang about Zionists or Zionism. Take your rabble rousing low IQ self to the Middle East, find a political forum there, and then rant and rave all you want about how much you love or hate Zionists to people that might, just might, give a dang about what you think of "Zionists".

WTH are you babbling about now? You want a citation for, what, exactly? Face it, you are alienating people left and right with your obsessive insistence that anyone who disagrees with you must be "posing as third party". What does that even mean? If we're not in lockstep with your extreme views, we're "posing" as something? You clearly have severe mental issues that you're exhibiting all over this forum. I can't imagine what it's like living with an extremist like you, but your family has my sympathies.

Mediaite: ADL Chief Jonathan Greenblatt Catches Himself Referring to Israel’s Anthem as ‘Our National Anthem’: ‘I Shouldn’t Say Our’

“This is fundamental to our tradition for thousands of years, and so the idea that our national anthem would be the Hatikvah, would be The Hope–”

Greenblatt – an American citizen who was born in Connecticut – then caught himself, adding, “I shouldn’t say our, it’s Israel’s national anthem, but I think it speaks to the Jewish longing, the Jewish longing that whether you’re a Jew in, I don’t know, New York City or in Nairobi, Kenya, like we all have this shared sense of hope.”
