| I think she's sooooo tacky (she looks better now that she's pregnant and can't get any fillers) but he's creepy and weird but those of you claiming you know exactly how old money in the south operates when you've probably never left the DMV is insane. |
That man is clearly a fruitcake and a 4.0 gpa from a degree mill hick business college in the South ain't impressive. His current "job" is highly suspect, which teases out he crashed and burned after Penn and probably didn't warrant being admitted in the first place (Peter principle). He married that woman because she's poor, dumber than a rock, and desperate. There is absolutely nothing old money about them. More like larping buffoons. |
| The hate because they live in Georgia is crazy. Northerner who moved South and married into an old Southern family here. Getting married in your late 20s and having a baby in your early 30s is the norm here today. Nobody is marrying off their daughter at 20 anymore. Most young women are going for advanced degrees and want to work before having kids. Going to a prestigious school in the North and returning to the South because your whole family lives there is also the norm. Not everyone wants to live in NYC. Even those that work in places like NYC or LA often return back home after a few years. Jett comes off as a very typical Southern man with a hint of autism. Many men in the South come off as effeminate and it isn’t uncommon for their mothers to have sent them to an after school etiquette program. |
| I’ve seen them but I don’t find the content engaging. I’m surprised they are so popular |
This is true but it’s also true that Jett couldn’t hack it in banking and his career never took off despite a JD and MBA from Penn. |
He couldn’t hack it, so he married some gullible bumpkin and moved back home and works some sketchy low prestige gig. They’re all in on this social media crap because it’s all they got. |
He previously worked at Citibank and 5/3rd banks investment division. |
So he washed out and ran back home with his low born beard. |
Just like big law most people don’t stay in these positions long term. What do you do for a living? |
| Ambitious men with elite degrees don’t end up working for or with state school midwits in Georgia. Something is very off with his career trajectory after Penn. |
|
I also started following them for the snark and I’m finding I like her. She’s honest and refreshing. But I wish they’d put up some damn curtains and decorate their master bedroom.
|
Nope not like that at all. He didn’t even make it through an analyst or associate program. I was in IB. If Jett could cut it he’d still be in banking or at least do something like PE. He sells (or sold?) dental companies and claimed it’s PE as if he works for Carlyle. No one who starts at Citi as an analyst wants to sell dental practices from a strip mall in Texas. |
+100000000000 Agree. It is rather odd. I have heard some stories about him through friends that he’s very entitled and couldn’t deal with not being treated as if he’s the best and brightest. He probably was treated very differently than he was in his home town. |
They're broke wannabes. They've been thoroughly exposed. |
Because he's not a best and brightest anything. He couldn't hack it at Penn or after, so he reverted to his mean; a dime a dozen dixie idiot who married a bottom rung bimbo who doesn't know any better. |
