Were we all constantly dehydrated?

I have to agree. I don't do it anymore. But I'm also not an adult that carries a water bottle everywhere, all the time like some do. So I guess that's why I can feel more comfortable with it. I will probably carry some more this summer but I do feel like the obsession with access.at.all.times to water is a little overkill. Neither my 3 year old or my 6 year old drinks THAT much from their bottles when we send them to school for example.

And how many water bottles have gone missing and been forgotten? At those ages we were constantly forgetting them. And the jackets, sweatshirts, ball, and everything else they would bring to the park. Too much stuff. I also didn't slather my kids in sunscreen every time they left the house for a few minutes. All those chemicals daily as a ritual seemed like a bad idea.

Seems like they are more of a status symbol then a health requirement on most days.
