Which Admitted Student's Days were really worth it?

Totally casual. LOTS of walking, so sneakers or really comfortable shoes are a must. Layers because sometimes you'll go into a auditorium or lecture hall that's cold.

Also, there are always youtube videos from prior years events, which will give you an idea of how people dressed. Generally, very comfortable. Agree with pp's comments about dressing in layers.

I've only been on admitted student tours - but no full day events. Our first will be the W&M DFAS - very excited!

They wine and dine the kids because they know now that they want them.

Well worth attending.

It's a blast (speaking as a current student who will be volunteering there this year!)

We have a few more to attend, but this past weekend we attended two admitted student days.

Denison's admitted student day was fantastic. They covered the hotel expenses and arranged a shuttle service from the airport. The evening before the main event, they organized a scavenger hunt on campus with current students and provided dinner for the students. In the morning, the event started with a speech by Denison's president. The day was packed with various activities, including the opportunity for students to attend a class based on their interests. Additionally, there were breakout sessions for students and parents, different school tours focused on areas of interest, and lunch at the cafeteria. The day ended with a farewell reception and shuttles back to the airport.

We also had the opportunity to attend an admitted student event at The Ohio State University, specifically the Fisher College of Business Student Takeover. Although the event was quite a bit shorter, it was packed with great information and the students we met were impressive and helpful.

Both visits were insightful. These schools are clearly quite different, so it was helpful for my child to attend both events and compare. I definitely find these events worth it and I'm looking forward to the next one we have closer to home.
