This article details ONE person who stopped ozempic. The person was having difficulty with side effects while on it.

I'm someone who has had no side effects on wegovy. I am not planning to stop, but will try to maintain the weight loss at the lowest possible dose. I have read quite a few stories online where people are able to stop, and maintain. Some people do gain.

That story also makes evident the patient didn’t fix her eating habits. “Only a few French fries at lunch.” How about don’t eat that garbage at all when you are trying to correct the behavior that landed you in the problem in the first place? Similarly, we have threads on this forum talking about reducing snacking while on these drugs. How about structuring your eating and not snacking at all? A little pitch and catch; block and tackle as they say. Idiots

How about you go F yourself? How about you not come on the Ozempic forum unless you're taking the drug and MYOB?

Touched a nerve with the truth here? Eggshell skin much?

Good to know this is officially the ozempic forum and not the “eat healthy food in appropriate quantities for your energy needs and move your body so you can walk more than a mile when you are 80” forum.

This IS the Ozempic forum so see your way out. You come to shit on people to make yourself feel better. You're just a shit person.

For the record, I lost 60 lbs and haven't gained any back so you didn't touch a nerve with me. I'm just sick of sick people like you who are absolutely vile when people come for real advice and guidance. So again, go F yourself right out of this forum. IT'S NOT FOR YOU!!!

+1 I came on here last night to ask a simple question about pricing and people were so cruel. Fat phobia and nastiness out in full force. I think it's a bunch of bored teenagers.

You can afford the drugs. Stop acting like an entitled victim of circumstances out of your control.

Don’t know who needs to hear it, but I’ve lost over 150lbs on these drugs over the course of 5 years. I’ve gained maybe 5-7lbs back. I eat ice cream almost every day. And on the days it’s not ice cream, it’s something else sweet. I stopped the meds about 8 months ago. I’m at my goal weight, but according to BMI, I’m still obese. If I went by that scale, I’d look like I was sick.

Not sure why folks that haven’t taken the drugs keep chiming in on studies, and how fat people need to admit why they’re fat (WTF?) and how folks are going to gain the weight back…Who gives a F about that? Certainly not the fat person. If I gain it back, who cares? At least I would’ve had some time being at a weight normal weight, buying regular size clothes, not being ashamed.

I just understand why these semaglutide haters keep coming on these threads spewing their distaste for these meds and those that take them?

Why are you doing this? Just why? You want fat people to admit why they are fat, buy why don’t y’all (the group of y’all) admit why y’all are so insistent on trying to dissuade people from taking them? Why do you care if people are going to gain the weight back? If they have to take it for the rest of their lives? Seriously, why?

I've gained about 20 pounds back out of 50 pounds lost after I couldn't get the meds with the manufacturers' coupons anymore, and my health plan doesn't cover weight loss drugs for any reason. I'd have to have diagnosed Type 2 diabetes to have the meds covered, and I can't afford $1200 a month.

The hunger came back and I can't function if I'm eating a low-calorie diet and I'm hungry all the time. I'm not eating french fries or soda or empty calories -- I eat a relatively low-carb healthy diet.

Yes, because eating ice cream every day is a healthy habit 🙄

There should really be a separate forum for the emerging weight loss versus posting on a forum about fitness and healthy eating habits. Then you don’t have to worry about us posting on these threads all of the time.

Here is an idea for you: when you see Ozempic in the title of the thread, you just….don’t click on it!!!!

How about the crazy idea of not continuing to dose yourself with refined sugar products while taking or stopping a drug designed to alter glucose biochemistry?

Common sense maybe? Or maybe the treatment for heroin addiction should actually be going to the methadone clinic while simultaneously still using. That makes sense.

The thread topic is on weight maintenance while coming off the drugs. Pointing out a daily habit of ice cream is relevant to that. While the poster could have maybe been a little less dramatic about it.

Since you have never take the drug, you have no knowledge or experience on the topic. So go away.

Why is eating ice cream every day not healthy? I eat in moderation. And I need the calcium.
I do cardio and strength train everyday day to take care of my sweet tooth. Even with ice cream or something sweet, I’m under 1800 calories a day and my TDEE is 2300.

I’m just wondering why folks chime in on other folks gaining and losing weight on a medication they’ve never taken?

I’ve lost weight the hard way and gained it back several times (never obese just across the border to overweight BMI 26/27 down to 20 back to 26). Mostly because of pregnancies but also once in my teens.

Zepbound has made it so much easier. Why would I want to suffer through it. I’m no martyr. I have 4 kids and a full time job.

Bottom line, no matter which way you lose you need a plan for maintenance. But why do I want to fight my willpower when I have constant challenges around me like donuts Sam brought to work, kids wanting ice cream, etc. The Blue Zones show humans have much less willpower and it’s all about environment. This just makes it less mentally draining.

Jeff has said repeatedly that the glps can be discussed in this thread. And I'll correct any misinformation you spew about them, because I'm as determined as you

I lost 40 lbs on Ozempic and gained 30 back over 9 months. When I started a new job with new insurance, it wouldn’t cover it because I wasn’t overweight enough. I had to stop cold turkey. My hunger pangs were overwhelming to the point that I felt like I had a stomach ache they were so bad. Because of said job and other factors that I don’t want to get into, I wasn’t able to exercise, which I did daily prior to the new job. I want to get back on Ozempic and this time I will pay out of pocket to go on a low-dose maintenance level once I hit my goal to prevent gaining it back. I’ve yo-yo dieted for decades after going into menopause and it’s miserable. I actually got a sense of what it must be like to be normal when I was on Ozempic.

I'm on Mounjaro. The one thing I read is that after you stop taking it, they recommend that you exercise at least 6 days a week. I have been steadily exercising 6 days a week for 30 years. I just needed a boost due to menopause and being prediabetic (it runs in my family). I try to monitor how much I am eating. I also don't have a sweet tooth and only crave protein. These things predated Mounjaro.
