According to that worldview, GPAs must also be "stupid"? |
all the more reason why Op should be guiding him better…. The parent should know better. |
Pro tip #2: employers do care about hatred, spitefulness, and lack of good judgment |
| Op, did you tell your DC to settle down about a B grade? |
| He clearly earned a B+ so I don't understand why you would complain to the professor or the dean. Not all classes round up a 89.55 to a 90. It is not up to the student to decide this. Why are you complaining to the dean and the professor? |
| Retain counsel? |
My kid's high school doesn't round up either. Cut offs have to exist somewhere! |
| Lol you and he are going about this all wrong. It's just going to piss the professor off and reveal your son is childish and not ready for college. How stupid. |
This. So stupid. |
| 89.55 rounds to 90 so should be an A-. Does the school's policy say an A- is greater or equal to 90.0 or 90? |
According to whom? |
| This is life. I wouldn’t encourage this behavior for my college kids unless there was a truly extenuating circumstance like a serious illness. My HS kid missed an A in an AP class by less than .10 and was devastated because he had worked hard and had a high A up until the last test that he bombed. I said you can politely ask but don’t expect a grade change. The teacher didn’t change it. I wasn’t upset with the teacher. They have to draw a line somewhere. My son learned that you can’t back off because you think you’ve got it locked up. He also learned that a B isn’t a catastrophe. |
It seems like obvious trolling to me. |
Why is a B considered a bad grade? |
Post it on TikTok?????? Why? Don’t be such a dumbarse. |
