Guys just don’t enjoy having their face in another guy’s hairy sweaty armpit as much as they used to. Go figure.🤷🏾

Let’s see how field sports will help if you’re being attacked on a subway train.
Navy SEALs, many of whom have a wrestling background, I guess are also small and unathletic—didn’t realize that.

Since the point of this thread is how hard is it to make it in a sport- sure an Olympic wrestler may end up riding a subway. A similarly successful basketball player will have a driver and a bodyguard

see i disagree. football is defintely harder ive done both. in wrestling you sling people in your weight class. in football you have to hit and sling people that are twice your size and weight. and trust me a pulling guard is worse than 6 minutes of wrestling.

Lol. you would crap your pants before even thinking about saying that to a NCAA wrestler

Looks pretty tough in a picture. But he’s probably 4 foot 11

You're my favorite troll. That's Olympian Gable Steveson. He's 6'1 and probably 260lbs in this picture.

The PP has a point though, wrestling has a lot of small men since you compete in a specific weight class. Smaller men that wouldn’t not be able to be competitive at basketball, football, baseball, etc. often do wrestling bc they have an equal change to be successful without their size being a hindrance

Maybe it’s time for college wrestling to switch to the format of WWE, a style of wrestling which is very popular.

I don’t see why moving a ball around a court or field is supposedly superior, but to each their own. At least wrestling and other combat sports will give you life skills.
