No one is bring the dog into your house or car or anything. They are on a public street/sidewalk. Dogs need to be walked. I hate dogs except ours. I just avoid them as much as possible and it's no big deal. I might be allergic to some, but again, they aren't coming into my house or car. |

Dogs at the bus stop!
WOOF! WOOF! WOOF! WOOF!! Dogs at the bus stop! WOOF! WOOF! WOOF! WOOF! Deja Vu. Reminds me of a song I think.... |
It is absolutely not “wrong” to be afraid of dogs you don’t know. You should of course have a healthy fear of dogs. Especially in DC where people seem incapable of being responsible dog owners. |
They’re a nasty bunch, huh. |
My comment had nothing to do with coping with the fact that I can’t control others. Clearly I can’t. A$$holes are still going to bring their dogs to the bus stop. Im just saying they’re making a selfish decision and couldn’t care less about how it affects those who are scared of dogs or honestly just don’t want their dog jumping and slobbering all over them. This is fact. They are making a decision that is not good for everyone, just for themselves. But thanks for your irrelevant snarky comment. Fell flat a lil but that’s ok. |
| I ike dogs generally but not those that jump on me. I cannot believe owners don't train their animals to not do that. |
It is not healthy when most dogs are fine. |
It's sometimes not that easy. We spend a lot of time training and working with ours but she still jumps on people excited to see them. |
Stop letting your dog touch others. If you let your dog jump on me, and it causes me to have an allergic reaction, I will take legal action. In moco at least, letting your dog make unwanted contact with people can result in a fine. If it results in actual harm, you can face other consequences |
In your house it’s not easy. I have a jumpy dog and I ask people if they are OK or if they want me to lock him in the bedroom. But in public? It’s not hard, because you just make darn sure not to get that close to people. If your kids are old enough that you can supervise from a distance then a jumpy dog at the bus stop is fine. Be vigilant and warn people if they start to approach. But if your kids are younger or your stop is crowded then don’t bring him. |
| Only if the dog is a distance away from where the kids are standing (unless you know for a fact that everyone at your bus stop is ok with dogs) and the owner has the dog under their control and attention 100 percent of the time. |
My dog reads people well and wouldn't come near you. Sue away. You clearly like drama. |
We don't have bus stops and have to drive but I will take the dog for pick ups. |
| Some children are terrified of dogs. Dogs should not be at the bus stop. They are also not allowed on school grounds. |
Kids need to adjust to the real world. Dogs exist. They have evolved alongside humans for centuries. They are a part of our society like it or not. |
