| Lucy stabbed on ER |
| The Walking Dead had some major plot twists and surprising scenes that I didn’t see coming. Most notably the infamous bat scene by the RV, and the huge fair day. Those literally took my breath away. |
| 24, season 1. |
|
So many excellent examples - Sixth Sense, Arrival, No Way Out. I love me a good twist ending.
I'll add Will's death in Good Wife. |
Ohhh yes! |
Same with The Prestige. I think about it every now and then and it feels me with such a feeling of dread. The Good Place's twists, by contrast, were a delight - each and every one. Except the ones that also filled me with a deep sense of sorrow. |
And the flash forward in the last season of Barry. |
That was devastating, and perfect. That whole show is a masterpiece. And it's so unusual for there to be actual consequences, like there were there - real consequences, not escaping consequences by being murdered, but actually having to live with with what you've done. And yet they were children themselves when they were pulled into this life - when did they ever really have a choice? But yeah, seeing Paige on the platform - and Elizabeth's anguish at that moment. It rips my heart out all over again to think about it. |
| Another vote for The Others. I watched it in a theatre when I was 18 and still remember how everyone audibly gasped when the reveal happened. I have never seen a horror story turned on its head and shown from that perspective before or after. Masterful stuff. |
+1 yes. I remember this vividly. Lucy and Carter were both stabbed. |
| we should rename the title as the spoiler alert 🚨 thread |
| Fight Club |
YES! So creepy |
OMG, the bat (Lucille) scene was horrific. I couldn’t even believe what I was watching. What was the fair scene? |
+1 I love movies like that. The Village also had a great twist (both M. Night Shyamalan). |
