Not sure anyone LIKES long distance flights…

Love them. We're allowed business class, I usually upgrade to first, and then I have 12+ hours to read my book, have someone call me by my name instead of Mommy, eat good food, and not be bothered by work.

I love them too, even in coach. I can watch movies while people bring me food and drinks….love it.

Exactly!

I am not a fan of long distance flights, but just wanted to comment I think this is the sad state of motherhood when being in a flying box in the sky for hours on end feels like a luxury because you don’t have to caregive and can have some time to yourself.

And I will say that the recovery in the hospital after baby #3 felt similarly rejuvenating because it was a break from taking care of 2 mobile kids lol, and I could even order a custom omelette brought right to my room with coffee in the morning! It was the closest I’ve had to vacation in years.

Watching sports on TV

Any type of clothing or bag with a large brand logo or monogram pattern

Ariana Grande's music

Cruises

All-inclusive resort stays that last more than 2-3 days

cold shoulder sweaters and long sleeve shirts (if its cold enough to need a sweater or long sleeves, your shoulder deserves to be warm, too)

This reminds me that once I had to be hospitalized for a few days when my kids were little and it really did feel like a dream vacation.

I wrote that. I guess I meant flying to far flung exotic destinations. These days I'm just as happy with a two hour drive to some place in Delmarva. I'm satisfied watching a documentary on Machu Picchu and have no desire to travel there in person. I did do that kind of thing in my twenties, but no longer.
