No. Me not wearing a mask does not equal that I ‘don’t care about humanity’. The masks are borderline ineffective and you sound like a loon. |
So...you will be judging people for not masking....for the entirety of your lifetime? |
+1 |
I wear an effective mask. |
No, actually, I'm hoping that some day the US will have universal paid sick leave, like every other wealthy country in the world. |
And you can wear one for as long as you want! That doesn’t make you a ‘better’ person who ‘cares about humanity’. |
Have you considered moving to one of those wealthy countries? Which ones are you thinking of? |
How is yelling at people on DCUM getting you closer to that goal? |
| Just fell sick last night. Excruciating body ache, fever, cough and vomiting. What is going on?? Attended two parties with lots of kids who go to daycare and school. Ugh!! |
Lesson learned: don't hang out with school or daycare aged children before an important event. They are germ vectors. |
| I think it's a bad habit to fall into to sacrifice the kids' education to "protect" older family members. If the family member were that vulnerable, we'd visit with masks or outside or arrange a visit when kids would already be home for a few days. Even shifting later to winter break if necessary. |
Yeah, that's going around
|
Flu, probably. |
+100000. Children have already given up so much for a virus that hardly affects them. Meanwhile most elderly people moved on years ago. We aren’t Covid cautious and back in 2011 when we went out to eat it was mostly retirees dining out. |
It’s also possible that OP caught it before the party and just exposed a lot of children who will interact with yours this week. |
