Newsom is too slick and fake to win a general election. A rich, entitled Californian white dude with slicked back hair is not winning states like Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin.

The problem with Dems is that they just don’t have an impressive roster of up and coming presidential candidates. DeSantis, Youngkin, and Lake have a much better chance of winning the presidency than Harris, Newsom, Buttigieg or anyone else the Dems have in the wings and it has nothing to with their politics. They are just more personable candidates. The Dem establishment is so out of touch that they have been trying to sell Beto as a national politician and he can’t even win elections in his own state.

Nah. The problem is and always has been that Dems are not a monolith and don't vote for party only. GOP voters will vote straight ticket no matter what a lying, grifting, treasonous POS is on the ticket. Dems are more critical of their candidates.

The other problem, is the extreme cheating and gerrymandering by GOP to win elections. They wouldn't win a fraction of the elections they do if they didn't do those things.

Facts.

DP. You wouldn’t know facts if they jumped up and bit you. This forum is quite the window into the LWNJ mind.

That is not a response. It's a personal attack. Try again.

You're actually claiming that Democrats aren't a monolith and don't vote for party only - and you expect to be taken seriously? Remember "Vote Blue No Matter Who"?? Sorry, you need to climb down from that high horse you've been on for years and take a good, hard look at yourselves before throwing stones at Republicans. As you can see from tonight's election results, much of the nation is turning their back on your nonsense.

Exhibit B re: why many people are turned off by the Democratic Party.

I'm sure this person feels mighty fine with herself after making this video, but her preachy "know it all" tone is not going to connect with anyone.

And right here you have the classic Republican "logic."

"OK fine, you may be right and I may be completely wrong but you made me feel bad by telling me I was wrong so instead of voting for what's right I'm going to act like a petulant child and double down on being wrong. Also, no snowflake, no snowflake, YOU'RE the snowflake!"

WTH? Speaking of petulant child - why the tantrum? Millions think *Democrats* are completely wrong. It’s pathetic that you are so convinced of your righteousness. Life must be difficult for you. Get over yourself.
DP

Nothing about the video posted is wrong. Nothing. And yet, a PP refused to respond on the merits and attacked the messenger. You seem to be very triggered by someone pointing out that PP's response is childish.

Aw. Are YOU triggered that people are mocking the annoying woman in the video? Also - what merits? There was nothing at all childish about pointing out how incredibly off-putting "the messenger" is and how much she represents Democrats as a whole. Maybe take these criticisms and sit with them awhile. You might actually learn something.

Sure, it’s a problem that dems to have a rockstar like Obama up and coming to inspire the world. But it’s a far larger problem that republicans endorse fascism. I will take a party of principles over a party with an autocratic “face” any day.

Fascism is when government and large corporations collude in an authoritarian state. So, forcing everyone to take a vaccine produced by multinational corporations and getting people banned from social media for being skeptical of it is fascism. So is colluding with social media companies to ban dissenting opinions from social media.

Do you know what fascism means?

Thank you. Liberals throw around this word and associate it with Republicans. Pure projection on their part.

Not to mention stupidity. If they really knew what fascism meant, they wouldn’t be Democrats.

Their definition of fascism = European-style abortion laws

No, our definition of fascism is far-right authoritarian nationalists, which, sadly, includes today's GOP. Do try to keep up, sweetie.

No, he hasn't. He will go down as Jimmy Carter 2.0.
Most of the things you have listed he has not done at all. [/quo

This is it in a nutshell. But here come the slew of nonsense posts from GOP supporters full of more of their lies.

GOP is a party of liars, traitors and criminals. Every accusation is a confession. Dems try to actually solve problems but doing that is hard and messy.

Agreed. GOP supporters sound like bullies on the elementary school playground. They think they are so clever, but they are just nasty. And wrong.

I am done with you. The fact is, looking at recent past elections, that what you're saying is demonstrably false. With progressive candidates and folks like Bernie breaking up D votes. There is no Dem monolith. Not even close.

Now go over to Fox and watch Marc Thiessen skewer Republicans for underperforming last night, sweetie.

Are you honestly expecting Republicans to show up, eat crow, shake hands, and say "good game?" That would require self-awareness and humility - qualities nobody would accuse the average Republican of having.
