+1 Don't be like Josh Duggar's family, in which all the kids have "M" names. Cringe. |
Absolutely not! Just because the sisters both have names that begin with M does NOT mean the brother needs to also have an M name. That's ridiculous |
+1 Even twins don't have to have the same first initial, so subsequent children certainly do not need to repeat that pattern. Including my twins, all the twins I know have the following initials: J & A L & C B & A K & C T & V R & E N & A M & R E & I J & M K & K B & B D & D |

Oscar Earnest! |
| I thought first of Ian and then of Jack. |
Name him Very. Or Vahry if you want to alternate the spelling. |
Yep, this. My almost 5yo just found out he has a middle name. We went with family names for middles and really didn't put much thought into how it all sounded together. As long as it wasn't terrible, it was fine. I actually didn't use one middle because I didn't like the name itself as much, and now regret it (because of the memory of the person it would have honored). All that is to say, pick the first name you like the most. It's going to be used 100x a day.
If it was Elliott Earnest Fivesyllablename, he will be E.E. Fivesyllablename. Kinda cool? |
