PP and yes, first heard this on rural Ohio at my ES, circa 1977, although the preferred term was “briar.”

Back in Fairfax County, we’d call these kids, “country” or “hillbillies.”

Yes. Also redneck boats = gritcraft

We also said "that's mighty white of you" in Virginia, even as white people.

I remember that but we would add a "y" to the end as an adjective rather than just the C-word.
