Back to daycare?

Anonymous
Hi - anyone else considering sending (or already sent) a kid back to daycare while expecting? We are newly expecting, with a 3 year old. Kiddo has been out of daycare since March, but we no longer have help (grandparents were helping), and we both work full time, and I'm ready for him to go back to a regular structure. The daycare we are looking at is small - only 12 kids - but I'm still nervous. Anyone else planning to send their kid back now?

Do it.

No way. No idea what covid does to pregnant women or the fetus.

Yep. I was nervous but something had to give. We KNOW anxiety and stress are bad for the baby, so don’t act like keeping him home doesn’t come with costs for the baby too.

My kid is back now - doing it while we can before what I believe is an almost certain fall re-closing. Two months with temp checks and small classes and no issues so far. She's a totally different kid with this structure and interaction. If I were you, I would not hesitate to take the breath while I could get it.

Yes we did daycare NOW while the numbers in MD are still OK.

I'm due next month, my toddler went back to daycare in July. I know it's a risk but for us it's worth it. Husband and I both need to be able to do our jobs, son needs socialization and structure.
