DCPS testing

Every DCPS elementary has some form of Dibels/Bursts/TRC aspect to it. Its one of the measures that is used to assess progress of students across a continum. Its mandated by the system. It was rigid these past three weeks because the window for mid year assessment was open.

I've heard that some schools are not required to do this testing.
In our school, classroom teachers are required to do all the testing, which is incredibly time-consuming (its one-on-one testing) and prevents the teacher from teaching for literally days. |
