I'm in the same boat. If you're a dc resident, you might be able to get it through the child vaccination program, which apparently is only held at the georgia avenue location now (i went to reeves this week and was told they don't do it anymore.)

Thank you for your response. I live in McLean, so I guess I will try various pediatrics offices. I don't know why it's so hard to get thimeroral free H1N1 vaccine here in DC area. I moved from California and the pediatrics office there called me if I wanted to bring my child to the office for H1N1 vaccination. Of course, I had to say no.

I went this morning to the Falls Church health department (from the facebook link above). It was very easy, but they don't have the thimerosal-free version. they said it was all recalled because it wasn't effective enough. i went ahead with the shot for my 7 mo based on advice of pediatrician to worry more about h1n1 than the minute amount of thimerosal in the shot.

My son (7 months old) got thimerosal free H1N1 vaccine at Northern Virginia Pediatrics.

i have a 6-mo-old and i've called around to various pharmacies and none had thimerosal-free vaccines. also, cvs doesn't vaccinate kids under 18 mos. i think we're just too late in the game. =(
