TTC - How Do I Get Started?

Hi Everyone....

My hubby and I would like to have another baby. This time around we would like to plan having it

I am not sure how to go about doing this in order to make sure we come out pregnant...I mean I know the act but I don't know anything about timing, ovulation, charting, temps, etc. Any help and suggestions would be helpful!

I'd recommend reading "taking Charge of Your Fertility" -- that should be able to answer all your questions. Good luck!

There are a lot of books out there, including the recommended one, I would just go to the bookstore and browse which one you like and read a bit and get a feel for which way you'd like to go. Or browse in the internet one of the many website on the topic like babyhopes etc.
There's a wealth of info out there.

If you don't want to leave it to chance completely it is a good idea to try to pinpoint your ovulation with one of the many methods, either "retrospectively" via the temp (not for everyone) or via the LH urine sticks (if you go that route make sure you don't buy the expensive 5 packs in the drugstore - totally inadequate, you need to order the teststrip kind in bulks of 20+ over the internet, cheaper, and the only way to be accurate (need to use several times a day for many days) or the OV Watch etc.

NP here. Cannot speak highly enough of "Taking Charge of Your Fertility."

Got pregnant on our one and only try for that entire month. It was indisputably easy to track b/c of personal calendar issues, business travel, etc. If it matters, I was 40 y.o. when the baby was born, but 39 y.o. when she was conceived.

Good luck w/ every roll of the dice.

Go to Shady Grove in Fairfax, VA. They are the best and will get you pregnant

She hasn't even started trying yet, and she has another baby, so problems are not obvious...

OP here, YES, I have 2 little girls and would like to try for another, a boy is my dream but will take what we get ..I just want to pinpoint when to do the deed, LOL.
