Our small (under 50 person) firm provides tuition assistance.
We offer $5,250 per year for reimbursement.
We reimburse 100% for A/B and 50% for C/Pass. Nothing for D or below.

This seems to be a common policy at workplaces that offer tuition assistance. It would be great these workplaces can be indentified so that this thread can become a data source for people looking for jobs in the DMV area that have substantial tuition benefits.

The companies that do more is the list you want

Typically it has to be related to the job you have or a job that exists at the company.

We do $6500 a year if it's a masters or bachelors related to the work. If it's a cert or some course required to do your job we pay outright. We are a small DoD contractor.

My college aged son is working at Old Navy this summer. They have a tuition reimbursement program. I work part-time at a small, non-profit half day preschool. One of the only benefits we get is tuition reimbursement. Our reimbursement is enough to pay for one college course at our local community college or going to a conference in early childhood education - per year. I used to work for the federal government. The government paid for my master's degree. My agency had a program where I was able to attend school full and draw my full salary and keep my benefits. I took the few first courses part time at night after work. Then I applied for the full time training - was accepted and completed my degree in one semester. If I left the government before a certain time (I think it was 3 years) I had to pay back the tuition. But I worked for an additional 6 years so I didn't have to pay a dime for my degree.

Can anyone comment on the tuition benefits at local colleges and universities for families and their employees?

Also a family member accepted a (high administrative MD) position at Sloan Kettering in NYC and they will pay 100% of his college kids’ tuitions.
